Mistakes Made in Ramadhan
1. They thought that the hadeeth of 'Aa'ishah did not mean that this was the specific number.
2. A greater number was narrated from many of the Salaf.
3. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray eleven rak'ahs and make them very lengthy, so much so that it used to take him most of the night. Indeed, one night in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) led his companions in praying Taraaweeh, he did not end his prayer until just before dawn, and the Sahaabah feared that they would miss Suhoor. The Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) loved to pray behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and they did not feel that it was too long. The scholars thought that if the Imam made the prayer so long, this would be too difficult for the members of the congregation and that might put them off. So they thought that the Imam should make the recitation shorter and increase the number of rak'ahs.
The point is that the one who prays eleven rak'ahs in the manner narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is doing well and is following the Sunnah. Whoever makes the recitation shorter and increases the number of rak'ahs is also doing well. A person who does either of these two things is not to be denounced.

Ahadith about Ramadhan...
"He who does not desist from obscene language and acting obscenely (during the period of fasting), Allah has no need that he did not eat or drink." (Bukhari, Muslim)
In another hadith by Abu Hurairah (RAA), the Prophet (SAAWS) said: "Fasting is not only to restrain from food and drink, fasting is to refrain from obscene (acts). If someone verbally abuses you or acts ignorantly towards you, say (to them) 'I am fasting; I am fasting.” (Ibn Khuzaimah)
Abu Hurairah (raa) relates the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) said when one Ramadan came: "A blessed month has arrived. Observing it in fasting is mandated on you (the believers). During this month, the gates of Paradise will be opened and the gates of Hellfire will be closed. The evil ones (Shayaatin) will be handcuffed. In it there is one night, during which worship is better than worship in a thousand months. Whoever is denied its blessings has been denied the biggest blessing." (Ahmed, Nasaae, and Bayhaqi)
Amir bin Al-As reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) said "Indeed as to the one who fasts, during the time he breaks his fast, this supplication will not be turned away by Allah."
As reported by Al-Tirmidhi, the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) has been reported as saying: "There are three categories of people whose supplications will not be rejected: the person who observes the fast until he breaks it, a just ruler, and a person who has been oppressed."
In another report by Miqdam bin Ma'a Diyikarib (raa) the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) said: "Take this early morning meal for it is a blessed meal." (Bukhari, Muslim)
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri (raa) the Messenger of Allah (SAAWS) said, "Sahuur is a blessed meal, do not neglect it even if it is a mouthful of drink. For Allah and the Angels bless those who observe it." (Ahmed)
And Allah knows best.

Eid In Syria (Flyer)...
Ayat and Ahadeeth on Sadaqah (Charity)
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 63 Surah Munafiqoon verse 10:
"Spend (in the Cause of Allah) from the provisions that We have given you before death should come to any of you and then he should say, "O my Lord, why did You not reprieve me awhile that I should have given in charity and become of the righteous." But Allah does not at all reprieve a person when his term comes to an end, and Allah is well aware of what you all do."
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 261:
"The charity of those who expend their wealth in the Way of Allah may be likened to a grain of corn, which produces seven ears and each ear yields a hundred grains. Likewise Allah develops manifold the charity of anyone He pleases, for He is All-Embracing, All-Wise."
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah, verse 254:
"O ye who believe, spend of the wealth We have bestowed upon you (in Allah's way), before the Day comes when there shall be no buying and no selling; when neither friendship nor intercession will be of any avail."
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 274:
"Those who spend of their goods (in charity) by night and by day in secret and in public shall have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve."
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 110:
"And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: and whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you ye shall find it with Allah; for Allah sees well all that ye do."
Hadith Qudsi 11 - The Messenger of Allah (saws) said that Allah The Glorious and Exalted Says: "Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you." (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.11 - Narrated by Abu Huraira)
A man asked the Prophet (saws): "O Allah's Messenger (saws)! What kind of charity is the best?" He (saws) replied: "To give in charity when you are healthy and greedy hoping to be wealthy and afraid of becoming poor. Don't delay giving in charity till the time when you are on the death bed when you say, 'Give so much to so-and-so and so much to so-and so,' as at that time the property is not yours but it belongs to so-and-so (i.e. your inheritors)." (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.492 - Narrated by Haritha bin Wahab)
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying: "O people! Give in charity as a time will come upon you when a person will wander about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it, and one (who will be requested to take it) will say, "If you had brought it yesterday, I would have taken it, but today I am not in need of it." (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 4.793 - Narrated by Adi bin Hatim)
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying: "Save yourself from the (Hell) Fire even with half a date (to be given in charity); and if you do not find a half date, then with a good pleasant word." (Sunan Abu-Dawood Hadith 2860 - Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri)
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "A man giving a dirham as sadaqah (charity) during his life is better than giving one hundred dirhams as charity at the moment of his death." (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.543 - Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar)
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "Envy is not permissible except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the knowledge of the Book and he recites it during the hours of the night, and a man whom Allah has given wealth, and he spends it in charity during the night and the hours of the day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.764 - Narrated by Asma)
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "Give (in charity) and do not give reluctantly lest Allah should give you in a limited amount; and do not withhold your money lest Allah should withhold it from you."
Abu Kabshah al Anmari reported that the Prophet (saws) said: "I swear upon three (things) and ask you to memorize my words: 'Sadaqah (charity) given from a property never decreases it; a man who suffers injustice and is patient with it, Allah will grant him strength; a man who starts begging, Allah will cause him to be poor." (Related by At-Tirmidhi.)
Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Allah receives charity by His right hand, and then He causes it to grow for each of you. Just as you raise a horse, colt, foal, or young weaned camel, so that morsel becomes as large as the Mount of 'Uhud." (Sahih Muslim Hadith 7061 - Narrated by Abdullah ibn Ash-Shikhir)
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "The son of Adam claims: 'My wealth! My wealth!... O son of Adam, is there anything as your belonging except that which you consumed, which you utilized, or which you wore and then it was worn out, or that which you gave as charity and sent it forward (for the life Hereafter)?" (Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1527 - Narrated by Mu'adh ibn Jabal)
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "Charity obliterates sins just as water extinguishes fire." (Related by Ahmad and At-Tirmidhi)
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
